Experiences

I was born in 1969, a year marked by the historic moon landing and the inception of the internet protocol – two phenomena that have captivated my imagination throughout my life. Witnessing these pivotal moments of human history has deeply influenced my outlook, particularly in relation to the profound transformations they have brought about in our lifestyles. Over the years, these developments have become an integral part of my artistic journey, especially within the realm of music.

During my formative years, I was enchanted by the beautiful compositions and symphonies of classical music masters, as well as the iconic soundtracks of the era. These early encounters served as the foundation upon which I would build my creative path.

My musical journey began in earnest in 1981 when, during my middle school years, I embarked on the study of classical flute under the guidance of teacher Lucio Turolla. Subsequently, under the mentorship of Conrad Valdini  I delved into the world of drumming, exploring various styles, with a special focus on jazz, rock, and funk, drawing from the rich traditions of American music.

My quest for musical knowledge took me to Venice, where I received tutelage from the Indian Pandit (Master) of tablas Sankha Chatterjee in Venice at Giorgio Cini Foundation . This experience not only enriched my understanding of Indian classical percussion but also allowed me to glimpse the cultural tapestry of India during my time in Calcutta.

Furthering my education, I became a student of harmony and composition under the guidance of Master Francesco Celeste at the C.P.S.M. in harmony and composition affiliated with the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.

Currently, I am immersed in the world of jazz, piano, harmony, and composition under the mentorship of Master Davide Logiri at C.P.S.M. piano jazz in Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi of Milan as well as at the Musictime school in Milan.

Throughout these years, I have worn many hats – composer, arranger, sound designer, musician, DJ, singer, and speaker. My creative journey has taken me to alternative radio stations in Italy and Amsterdam, where I’ve shared the stage with some of Italy’s most renowned DJs, including Dj Aladyn, Alessio Bertalllot, Dj Gruff, Dj Pandaj, and Pink is Punk. Additionally, I’ve been involved in live performances and collaborations with artists and organizations such as Ariadigolpe, Area Odeon, Cristiano De Andrè, Fondazione Cineteca Italiana, Colubris Studios, Gianna Nannini, Kernel Festival, Liberi Svincoli, 99 Posse, Punkreas, Selton, Sigma Tibet, Slam X, Tomoko Nagao, and Università Bicocca Milano.

For me, the creative process is an ongoing exploration. Each day, I labor tirelessly to forge new musical alchemy, blending electronic, hip hop, rock, jazz, funk, drum’n’bass in various directions that i like to call hip up dub, electrocknic, jazzy  jam,  afro-funk, music for soundtrack and relaxing music, I am a musician who firmly believes in the interdependence of music, a reality that exists in close connection with the randomness of life. Each note I compose contributes to a melodic design, a harmony that takes shape from the relationships between the notes themselves. This concept reflects my belief that independence and intentionality coexist in music, since nothing exists separately, but always in relation to other phenomena. However, I also understand the conventional aspect of music, the human mind recognizes and appreciates musical sounds. But even when I reflect on the deeper sounds of music, I understand that they do not exist solely in themselves, but are intrinsically linked to other elements of the world around them. Even when not perceived by a human mind, musical sounds continue to exist, rising beyond our perception as part of the universe and continuing to spread. My music is a deep investigation of these concepts, an attempt to capture the essence of interdependence and relationship that permeates every aspect of life, including music. I invite you to explore my sound world, where harmony merges with chaos and music becomes a reflection of our intricate connection with the world around us.
